Yeah, she's stacked. This former Blackjack dealer earned over $250,000 in 2006 as a professional poker player. Oh, and speaking of stacked, "Evybabee" also made a cameo in the Xbox Texas Holdem game aptly named "Stacked."
Evelyn Ng got her start as a professional Blackjack and poker dealer in Toronto at the tender age of 17. Another Toronto native, pro Daniel Negreanu, became her poker mentor, helping her sharpen her game. After her first visit to Vegas at 21, Evy knew she wanted to pursue the "poker life" and make a living from the game.
Ng gained world poker fame when she scored an impressive second place at Ladies Night on the World Poker Tour in 2005, beating out Annie Duke and Kathy Liebert to the tune of $250,000. Evy raised five times "Clonie" Gowen's call and her gutsy style won her a big payoff.
An 11th at the 2005 Borgata Poker Open was followed by the final table at the Calvin Ayre Wild Card Poker Tournament in 2006. In between tournaments she took part in
The King of Vegas on Spike TV, was featured in the second series of British game show
Casino Casino as the poker croupier and appeared on
Criss Angel Mindfreak as a pro poker player.
Last year, Ng took 28th place in the No Limit Holdem Bounty Feature event at the Crown Aussie Millions Championship. She went on to secure 25th place at the World Series Vegas Event No. 28, No Limit Holdem, for winnings of $14,608.
Evelyn continues to travel the tournament circuit around the world and sharpen her skills in the
Bodog Poker Room when she has the time.
